![]() ![]() “Zhenyuan has accepted our offer, she will be coming to Bremerhaven for the construction of her new ship.” Placing the phone down, Chancellor Winter looks towards her expectant cabinet. Pondering for a while, he asks her, “Well, you think she’ll accept going to D.C first?” “And what about Zhenyuan, sir? According to her announcement, she will be leaving for Germany soon.” She nods, before asking another question. ![]() He was going to wrangle his government branches into submission, or die trying. Perhaps it was time to finally fix the issue left by his predecessors. Going back to the issue at hand, he knew that he couldn’t just hide away in the room forever. “Sir, you need to at least come out, I’ve been fending off the press myself for a while now. The door opens, and he drinks his remaining whiskey from his glass. With a weak voice, he calls out to the door. Though some animosity was directed towards Zhenyuan for being a ‘traitor’, he would have to stop that soon, lest they further alienate her. D.C is now in a mess with some calling for his head, Secretary Waters and Lawson’s head, Costa Brown’s head and so on. Coupled with the fact that the day after that scandal went public, his two secretaries sent to ‘negotiate’ with Zhenyuan got quite literally dragged out, he was not having a good week. If you don't, the issue is going to get even worse.”Įver since the PRT and Navy ‘betrayal’ went public, Delacroix has been fending off congress and the senate, as well as some influential Americans who were less than pleased at the whole debacle. You’ve held back on doing it for two days now. President, we need you to come out and make a statement. Arriving at the door just outside his study, she sighs. Walking down the corridor of the President’s residence in the White House is Molly Henderson. I am not sure whether a speed above like 28 knots is helpfull. I am not sure if CIWS would really help against Ziz - then maybe 3" autoloaders. Ships range is secondary so that would be fine. Maybe turboelectric with distributed engine rooms to improve survivability. Not a ship which looses the main armament early in the game and then does not influence the moment anymore - even at the risk of sinking faster.Īnd while I am at it: main artillery, some medium sized stuff (6" ?) and scrap the AA. I would go with a design which tries to preserve the firepower (main arti) to a point that the firepower and the ship would fail at a similar moment. So - back to the point - the ship picked by Taylor has similar characteristics like the Bis and I wonder what is needed to get an Endbringer. I would agree that Bis could rather be easily mission killed before it was in danger of sinking - and that the difference betwwen theses two states were bigger than with other US or UK ships of that age. Torps and scuttling did the job just fine. ![]() When Bis went under - that proved the point - no important penetrations into the citadel but the upperworks were gone. That this design target was scrap in real life - also beside the point. That never happend - ok - but that is beside the point. Sure - what I wrote is quite correct even if you laugh and continue to do so! Power lines - that is a myth - but please present the documents giving that info (and please no hear-say or quote of a quote of a bad translation)īis was designed to fight a battle (a fleet melee) in the North Sea and come back even if shot to scrap in the upper works. Israel, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Saudia Arabia, Thailand, Turkey, Taiwan, and the United States. Our timeline's current users of the Phalanx are Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Chile, Greece, Ecuador, Egypt. The Phalanx should be easier to find used than an AEGIS system (Bold countries make sense in terms of Taylor getting them from there in the story worm timeline). Wild cards in terms of getting AEGIS is Norway not sure in the worm timeline where they stand in terms of politics in Europe. I could see Japan, Spain, or Korea saying F u to the Americans, removing an AEGIS from one of their ships, and donating to Taylor. Spain and Korea also use it in our timeline and could still have ships with it in the Worm timeline. Japan might have AEGIS-equipped ships in the worm timeline they do in our timeline, depending on losses caused by Leviathan. Considering possible history changes brought on by the shards, the AEGIS and Phalanx CIWS should be the best systems of their respective kinds on the planet, which is way better than what Germany and Italy have in our timeline. I hope Taylor can still get an AEGIS and Phalanx CIWS out of the DOD or, if not, one of the countries the US sold them to. ![]()
